Nitzer Ebb not playing Chicago Sept. 16 got moved to Sept. 25th @ House of Blues

the nitzer ebb show at the congress theater advertised for sept 16 has been moved to the 25th at house of blues. they have not updated any of their band pages but that info is available thru ticketmaster! now who's gonna be there!?!

Bon Harris' new live trio project Maven includes Biff Sanders on drums (Ethyl Meatplow) and Andy Troy (Polar Bear) on guitar performs to promote their new signing and upcoming release. Expect a few Nitzer Ebb songs thrown in too!

New Fixmer/McCarthy on the way

Terence Fixmer and Douglas McCarthy have returned with a new exclusive two tracker that was released in Europe late Feb and here soon, I suppose. Not really any standout tracks here, unless you're a Fixmer fan like me :] And I think Doug is better at chanting than singing, which he attempts to do here for some reason.

Special announcement: October 27th 2005

Nitzer Ebb are back!! Douglas met with Bon in chicago and they will play some special shows next year. They will play for sure Wave Gotik Treffen as the headline act. Neuwerk Music Management will be handling the booking. Further information will follow as soon as these are confirmed by Douglas, Bon and Peddy of Neuwerk.

October 31st 2005

Since publication of the report that Nitzer Ebb will stand on the stage and play some shows in 2006 together again, the gossip factory really seethes. Regarding to this I asked Douglas for answers to the questions as follows:

the Fixmer/McCarthy Project: "F/M is my main project. Terence and i will play shows as normal, Nitzer Ebb is a one off special tour. It will be very limited - miss this chance to see Nitzer Ebb and you will miss out forever!"

Why again together on the stage and new Nitzer Ebb material scheduled? "It was the constant requests that we were getting to do a show that made us at least talk about the possibilities of doing these special dates. We have absolutely no plans to record new Nitzer Ebb material."

No further dates are confirmed until present time except Wave Gothic Treffen. Other appointments are purely speculative at this time.

Douglas Injured

Mr. McCarthy tore the ligament in his left ankle while performing at the Nandrin Festival in Liege (Belgium) on friday (Aug 5th). He continued with the show and was then taken to a hospital as soon as he came off stage. He's not suppose to walk for six weeks, doctors orders.

Corgan solo album co-produced by Ebb's Bon Harris

Douglas McCarthy, who was found together with the guys of VNV Nation on stage at Berlin's Kesselhaus, on 4/12/05 (www.power-of-voice.de), was relieved of co-producing duties with the former Pumpkins frontman yet again. Corgan's first solo album is co-produced by Billy and Nitzer Ebb's Bon Harris and mixed by Alan Moulder, who has previously worked with William on most of The Smashing Pumpkins' albums. The album, which reportedly has fifteen tracks, includes a cover of the Bee Gees' "To Love Somebody" featuring a guest appearance by The Cure's Robert Smith. "The Future Embrace" is set for a June 21st release date. www.Billy-Corgan.com
Harris and Corgan have worked together before on the Pumpkins 1998 release "Adore". William reportedly is a big fan of Nitzer Ebb's Hard Beat and Electronic Body Music.
